Simo Hayha

The Simo Hayha match is a fun shooting event to honor the “Sisu” of Finland in the winter war with the USSR in 1939-40. Simo Hayha (12/17/1905-4/1/2002) was a Finnish soldier, who was given the nickname 'White Death' by the Russians, and is considered to be the most lethal sniper in the history of the 'major' wars.
Firearms should be of the type used in this period. Twenty rounds of ammo and zeros for 100-200-300 yards. Movement in the snow between firing points is required.
The match is at noon on the Saturday closest to January 23rd, statistically the coldest day of the year.
